This won't work in the larger context of the head of the tune. The melodic line (if the tune is played in "G") starts on "D" and moves up a major sixth to "B". The "B" is the major third.
 
If you use 2' as the major third, where do you find the first note, which is a major sixth below it? If you approach it from the octave above, it won't sound at all the same. 
 
Why not just play it in cross harp position. All you need is a firm grasp on the notes created through bending technique in hole 3. 
 
The opening 2 notes to the head live in hole 1 inhale and hole 3 inhale.
