Re: [Harp-L] Dan Lynch and New Gig every tues in NYC
I was there in the mid 80's. Dicey was there as was Bobby Radcliff, who was tearing things up on guitar. I think the jam was on Sunday afternoons? I played some but there was always a lineup of regulars waiting to play. Great neighborhood blues atmosphere.

Both of these musicians helped us third generation NYC harp players carry on
the torch. And I definitely cut my teeth at Dan Lynch with Moose and the
built Proof Blues Band and others bands in the late 80?s and 90?s. Moose and
I had the devious honor in being the last band to be paid at Dan Lynch.
Wow, i play with Moose down here in the FL Keys. These days he seems to
like spending the cold season down here. He plays from Key West to Marathon
and
picks up bands wherever he plays. He still calls the bands Moose and the
Bulletproof Blues Band.
I live in the FL Keys these days - is Dan Lynch's still there? If not,
what's the story on that?
And yes, i mbr Bill Dicey. Never knew him but saw him play a couple of
times. I first saw him at the first harp gathering I ever heard of, which Rob
Paparozzi and I attended. It was on a South St. Seaport pier (lower east
side, Manhattan). The event was called Harmonica Brouhaha; and we also saw
Blackie Shackner and Chamber Huang. Rob and I also once went to the Dan Lynch
jam, where neither of us participated, and saw Bill play a jumping
instrumental song which i believe was his own composition.
