There seems to be a lot of harmonica references in Japanese culture. The
anime series Cowboy Bebop has some excellent harp music in the soundtrack
(from a band called The Seat Belts), and at least one episode has a young
boy playing before a crowd. I'm just starting to watch the series, so I
don't know if there are any other references.
