[Harp-L] World Harmonica Festival in one week in Trossingen - Crosspost
Dear list members,
as many of you know, in exactly one week we are starting the 2005 World
Harmonica Festival in Trossingen, seat of the Hohner Company, Germany.
I won't go into details (for those, take a look at www.whf-2005.de, also
available in English), it is enough to say that we will have great
artists, great visitors and great activities. I dare you to get bored
during this Festival!
I am working hard with other colleagues from Hohner and from the city of
Trossingen to prepare a great Festival to you (and to myself also, of
course. We also want our fun!).
I would like to welcome those coming to the event and make myself
available for any questions. My telephone at Hohner is +49 (0)7425
20222, and you will find it in our WHF website. You can also contact me
by e-mail at bresslau@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx (off list, please). I will be happy
to help. Also in other matters concerning harmonicas and Hohner.
If you are coming already on Tuesday, please get in touch. I am thinking
of arranging an informal get together, probably at the Hotel Bären.
At the Festival you will be able to get all information needed at our
festival office, in the foyer of the Dr. Ernst Hohner Konzerthaus. Also
in the foyer will be the open stage, and this will be the best place to
find me, since I am going to manage that. I will be able to answer to
your questions in English, German, Portuguese and Portuñol, and will
probably have friends who speak Korean, Japanese, French, Dutch,
Italian, Chinese (?), etc. I can even understand some French and
Italian, and I am proficient in pre-historic body language :-)
I want further to invite you all specifically to the Open Stage. I have
experienced the open stage as a great exchange place at the Hong Kong
Asia Pacific Harmonica Festival, and would like to see this happening
again in Trossingen. So please feel free to take advantage of the
opportunity of 10 minutes of stardom and register for a spot. Or two.
You will have vocal microphones, channels in the PA for a guitar or
other instrument (bring cables) and CD playback possibility available.
And the best audience in the world! All harmonicas, styles, songs and
formations welcome. Beginners and pros alike.
I guess that's it! I am very excited about the Festival and wanted to
share that with you. I wish you all a safe trip and to people in Great
Britain a great National Harmonica Festival in Bristol.
Again, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
All the best,
Fernando Bresslau
