[Harp-L] another instrument to listen to

various folks here have recommended listening to other
instruments besides harp when looking for ideas and
inspiration. common mentioned are sax, horns, and the like.

well, this morning i had this craving to hear hot tuna doing
"that'll never happen no more". so i dug out an old cd
before i left for work to listen to on the way in. and lo and
behold, there's papa john creach on the electric violin.
great playing, great accompaniment. very cool sound,
with a style that'd work well with harp. if you listen to him
play with acoustic tuna, or electric tuna, or even very electric
jefferson airplane, it's cool how well he fits in, and how well
his violin cuts through to find its place, complementing the
music.
