Be sure and get the latest firmware beta for your new Microtrack. I just heard today that there
will be another firmware update in November, but for now the 1.1.5 beta version is essential.
I really like the sound quality of the Microtrack. Last night I recorded a little jazz jam in
Michael Polesky's living room. I used the binaural mics I've discussed here previously. I
think they cost around $55. Recording at 44.1 wav quality, the jam sounds superb! I'm
completely satisfied with the way the Microtrack records. Now if they could just fix all the
glitches in the user interface . . . Hopefully the November update will be another step in the
right direction.
