I've never used one, but pedal steel guitars require a volume pedal that is almost always sold separately.  If the input jack is compatible, it might be worth trying one of those.  On a related note, has anyone had success using a wah pedal with harmonica?  I bought a used one (in TERRIBLE condition but a good brand for cheap) on eBay and haven't been able to get it to do much that sounded interesting.  I wonder if it's due to my amp setup or perhaps just the dynamic range of the harp?  Or do harp players ignore wah pedals because we have a natural wah sound from hand effects?
