UNSEALED, wooden combs will swell when in contact with moisture. FYI
The archive search is a good idea. But, you might just pick yourself up a brand new harp with a plastic comb since cleanliness is important to you - then, the method of soaking the harp will be a lot less damaging.
Tony Glover used to recommend soaking a harp in vodka though... but that was when brand new harps cost very little.
