I don't know what he was using on Hooker 'n Heat. All I can tell you is that when I saw Canned
Heat at the Shrine Auditorium on New Year's Eve 68/69, Wilson was playing through a silver-colored
narrow cylindrical mike about 8 inches long and about 1 inch in diameter with a volume control at
its base. I always wished I could find out more about that "pencil" mike!
