Hi Mikael
Weren't you at Filisko's workshop in Trossingen?
If so, you probably remember how he showed tongue block technique, using a device he made with holes in it.
About bending and syllables; I always mention the word "cowboy", and ask them to repeat the "oy"-part in a slow motion fashion to get a feel for how the tongue goes backwards.

2 Do you use any specific aids to explain what you cannot show visually?
3 Do you use syllables to explain specific techniques? If so, which
syllables?
Also, a related question;
4 The first time you are to teach a student how to bend notes, how do
you explain it?
