Jazz is a nebulous term. A more manageable discussion might be "Who is playing convincing BOP on
a diatonic?" I've seen Sandy Weltman do it. I've seen Allan Holmes do it.
I can't do it but I can fake it through memorization. I get indescribable satisfaction from
learning and playing Wardell Gray solos and Bird phrases.
