[Harp-L] Caps

world using NOS military paper oil caps, have done more  transfers from orange 
dropped original bassmans than we can count, a shame those  OD's are used, 
harsh. The paper oil caps are warmer and more tone friendly. But  this is one of 
the issues I bring up with reissues, you pick and gnaw at trying  to get 
better tone and by the time you are done you have close to a beautiful,  Value 
holding, custom amp that is done right from the start. I would be happy to  help 
anyone upgrade their reissue if they want to go that route. The caps are  just 
one aspect of the tone, synergism plays a big part in what makes a bassman  
sing.
