My oh so significant other is the Health Department Librarian for the state 
of Illinois and a truly passionate supporter of the blues.  She has been an 
exec on our Blues Club for several years and did some digging for us because 
she remembered Snooky's son, Rip.  I hope this helps you locate Snooky.

I searched Snooky to get the real name (James Edward) and enough bio 
information to elicit Ullin Illinois (near Tamms; I knew it well) as his 
residence.
I remembered that was his home town from when his son Rip played at one of 
our Knight's Action Park fests.
