[Harp-L] Searching Harp-L (was Historical perspective of harp-l)

> a decent search capability within the harp-l archive

I'm so glad you asked, because others surely have the same question.

We've worked hard to provide good search capability. Please visit

http://harp-l.org/archive

or

http://harp-l.org/archives

(I could never remember which it was, so I did both.)

The search engine fields are at the top. You can search the entire archive(s) in one keyclick. I suggest using the 'Long' option rather than the default.

Beneath the search engine fields is a complete listing of Harp-L posts, 2002-present and 1992-1995. The rest are on the way.

The search engine is updated nightly, but the listings below are updated instantly when the posts arrive. So you can read the daily posts via this page as well.

It's easy to miss this if you always visit via Yahoo -- as many people do. It's mentioned on the Yahoo intro, but not everyone has the time or patience to read intros.

Unlike a number of other lists available via Yahoo, we have our own Internet address, our own website, our own software, and our own server. A large reason for that investment was to preserve and make accessible Harp-L's amazing archive.
