Hi -
There are a few good Bostic collections on the market
now, but I particularly like the Proper 2-CD set
"Flamingo". It represents his earlier, more blues
based material well.
Bostic was way ahead of his time, and great players
who went on from members of his big band to make names
of their own (John Coltrane and Stanley Turrentine
among others), learned a lot from him and highly
respected his musicianship.
A few other collections may better represent his more
popular, ballad type material, as well as his swinging
tunes. The Jazz Archive (France) CD "Magic Bostic
1944-1952" is good, and may feature some more ballad
material.
