Over long solos are usually very boring... Less is often more! It is FAR FAR  
better to do a short 12 or 24 bar excellent solo than to make a pointless 
extended noise that goes on and on... 

It is like listening to a politician making a speech ... 5 minutes is 
interesting, an hour is simply sleep inducing!
