Re: [Harp-L] Hering vintage harps

I guess it's always different strokes for different folks..
I'm a long time SP20 player. I bought one Delta Frost about a year ago and
it was OK. A nice harp, but nothing to make me switch.
Last month at Buckeye I bought a Delta Frost in the key of 'A". tonight I
sat in with some friends playing at a hotel in town and played a couple of
songs. I only had the A Delta Frost with me and I have to say, it plays as good
out of the box as my Sp20s do after I tweak them.
I talked with John Hall at Buckeye and he said the newer ones were really
good. I believe him now.
Everyone's playing style is different. I don't overblow ( though I can, to
some degree). But for straight-up cross-harp blues... the Delta Frost is as good
a value for your money as I have found. I'm not sure if I'll switch from my
SP20s all at once.. but I'm sure going to give these harps an honest chance.
My 2 cents.
Still a fool for the Harp
