Good point. The signature matches the signature of
Walter's on many of the Chess contracts as well as
booking contracts he signed. The 8x10 was acquired
from a very popular booking agent down south in the
50's & 60's. Also, I know a lot of the older blues
artists where not literate, but many of them where at
least able to sign their name rather exquisitely since
they were asked to regularly once their popularity
rose. I know a few older blues guys who can't read,
but who have better penmanship then me when it comes
to signing their name.
