This is making me curious about the whole comb
material question. I can't for the life of me figure
out what the advantage of this comb is supposed to be.
If the wood is so dense that it doesn't float and has
to be completely sealed so that we don't go walking
around with Cocobolo redmouth, how are the physical
properties of the comb significantly different from a
plastic comb? Isn't it essentially a polymer-coated
dense substance? What physical properties would make
it sonically different from plastic? Maybe some of
you wood comb afficianados can enlighten me on what
I'm missing here.
