Re: [Harp-L] Fender Pro Junior
Yes, a Brownface Fender Princeton is a mucho better harp amp than the pro
junior. And, unlike the pro junior, is a solid investment that will only
appreciate in value...A princeton will cut about as well as a Sonny Jr 4x8 ( I AB'D
both, I own a Sonny Jr ). But a nice Brownface Princeton will set you back $$$
as I've seen them go for over $1000.00....Here's something to keep in mind...I
also play blue's bass guitar and ran into a really sweet amp. This thing
rocks ! It's a Traynor Bass Mate with a 15 inch woofer, 2 EL84's, huge Hammond
transformer, built like a tank.18-20 watts. You can cut a couple ports in the
front speaker baffle, or hack a section out of the sealed back panel to air it
out. If you play any guitar or bass along with harp, this amp will do it all,but
it really shines for Blue's harp or guitar...They don't come up too often on
ebay, maybe once or twice a month, but worth the wait because you can snag one
for $175.00-$250.00...Traynor stuff is as good or better than Fender or
Gibson, but harp players haven't caught on yet...
Later,
Mike.
