[Harp-L] Vibrolux Reverb for sale
Hey guys,
I don't sell gear much and I am getting ready to list this on eBay.
I have a 1970 Silverface Vibrolux Reverb. This amp kicks. It is 40 watts
into 2 10's.
The speakers are Oxford Ceramics from 1961. They were in my Fender Concert.
They were just professionally reconed by Uncle Spot in Modesto, CA. (Spot
makes a killer hand wired Fender style reverb for all of you Bassman owners)
This is a nice smaller and lighter alterative to a 4-10 amp.
The silver face Vibrolux was not that much different than the blackface
AFAIK, until they added master volume or some such garbage.
What IS different is the price. A vintage blackface is selling for
$2000-$2500.
A new re-issue (with crap printed circuit board) runs almost as much as this
point to point wired beauty. Silver face amps are some of the last good
deals going on Fender quality.
There is a reason that these amps last 35-60 years.
email me off-list for info, pics etc. I hope to list it on eBaY in a week if
none of my harp brethren are interested.
Thanks for the bandwidth.
