I'll second that - was a time when I had my first Low F and thought it was really tough to bend the 1 draw. I had to use a lip pucker to get it - tilted the harp, etc. Now the low F is easy to bend on the 1 draw...and I got so I can TB on it. I am fortunate enough to be able to bend the 1 draw now on the low D as well. It takes practice all right - lots of patience. Keep trying - one day it'll just pop into that bend - and you gotta go from there.
The opening of the throat thing I conquered by chugging lots of beer. If that ain't an incentive... I can't help ya then.

But you can get better with practice, if you open up your throat wide enough.
All the best,
Fernando
