[Harp-L] Mic assistance....

I am starting to do some gigs w/ an acoustic guitar finger picker. I prefer
to play with the mic on a stand. Currently I use a Shure 55SH for this
situation. I love the look  of the mic and the sound when up close but it
just doesn't pick up enough when I back off in any way. I am looking for
recommendations on a good mic that while on a stand will pick up subtle
background accompaniment while not on top of the mic.
