Hi Gorky, all,
I couldn't find anything specifically related to
Butterfield and which Altec he might hace used, but i
found some pages with cool pics of Altec mics,
everything from tiny "lipstick" mics to one that looks
suspiciously like a Shure545, to a "salt-shaker" mic,
to a weird "coke bottle" mic (i think it looks more
like a bud vase than coke bottle) They also made tube
mics. Below are a couple of links to some pages with
pics/info. the first site especially has lots of info
on the company (you have to start at the homepage
though, the link goes straight to mic pics)
