RE: [Harp-L] Re: Sure 545S
Don't buy anything until you try it. Even the same make mic's can sound
dofferent. I have different mic's for different amps and even depending on
what kind of music I'll be playing. Play it through your own amp. When you
find the mic you like then you pay what it is worth to you. Sometimes that
can be way more than market value. But it will be worth it to you. I've
been getting my mics from Dennis Ollig he's honest has lots of good custom
mics & he's easy to deal with. His prices are fair & he really cares about
the harmonica comunity. His phone is 816-753-2529. Give him a call. I'm sure
he would be happy to talk.
Good Luck

try a Shaker Mic instead, alot lighter and smaller, easier to cup and
compress the element ( pass on the crystal element, stick with the dynamic )
plus
it's brand new, sounds just as good, and is cheaper at around $69.00 you
won't
have to deal with those funky old shure cords either...it really is a cool
harp
mic for tube or solid state gear.
