[Harp-L] Double stop

In some articles I read recently, the "double stop" is mentioned. Perhaps I
already use this technique, and it could be just a language thing (since I'm
from Amsterdam). But what is it?

When I first read this word, it sounded like a rhythmical aspect of playing,
but in the articles it seems more like a melodical aspect of playing.
