Re: [Harp-L] Th' Legendary Shack Shakers

The Shack Shakers are great (and desreve mention in the "evolving blues" thread currently running on Harp-L). I'm not all that much into the theatrics, but the harp can't be denied.
There is a car insurance commercial for Geico that has a guy driving down the road with a little animated Gekko sitting next to him. They're both chilling and listening to this cool song, which happens to be the Shack Shakers' "CB song". You only hear an excerpt from it during the commercial but the album version has a really great, gritty harp solo on it. "Cockadoodledon't" is the album the song is pulled from and it is really good. They do all kinds of stuff, mostly roots influenced punk to metal (heck, there's even a klezmer / punk tune). The harp is always quality. I'm a fan of harp players Lester Butler (from the bands: "Red Devils" and "13") and Walter Daniels (from the band "Big Foot Chester") who play really aggressive music in a blues / rock vein. If either of those players interest you give the Shack Shakers a try...and hold onto you seat.
