Back in the 1960's, I used to buy harps "by the dozen", wholesale, direct 
from Hohner.When a reed blew out I'd throw the harp away. I simply did not know 
at that time that they could be repaired.
I wish I'd kept those splendid harps, they had "bell metal reeds". It was NOT 
that I had lots of money, it was simply that I had no idea, back in the 
1960's, that harmonicas could be fixed.
How tiresome!
