Many of you know about this already, but maybe some don't. I just received an adapter from jt30.com (no affiliation) that lets me use a standard guitar cord/instrument cable with my late model (xlr) jt30 style (hi-z) microphone. (Note: this adapter is not for use with a low-z xlr microphone like an SM57 or 58). Very handy device! Most of my other microphones (screw ons) are already fitted with adapters for using a guitar cable, so now it's just absurdly easy to switch to any microphone (especially using a cable with an on/off at the microphone end). It also means I can use a higher quality cable than the one I originally got with the late model "jt30" -- it makes investing in a really good cable a possibility, because you would use the same cable for all microphones. So it's a really handy device, seems to be really solid, and it's certainly inexpensive ($12) given the price of other gear. Thanks to Keith Graham of jt30.com and "Erica's Store." --john k.
