Some people who claim to know music really don't get out much. Although 
perhaps they do get out but just don't appreciate what they hear. In the 
case of an encyclopedia, the author(s) view should be a tad more open. More 
than likely, this author was just completely ignorant of what has been done 
on the instrument. How many people know what can be done on a harmonica? 
really only those who play and even then, there are players who do not know 
Howard Levy, Larry Adler, Toots etc.
