Tim's mentioning that the Alesis Wedge has been discontinued reminds me
that another discontinued model, the Quadraverb, would be an excellent
choice if you tripped over one used for the right price. If I recall
correctly it's capable of more simultaneous effects and has a more
powerful processing negine than the Midiverb. It also has more
paramaters and is a lot more user definable when it comes to tweaking
the sound. The Quadraverb is half rack sized instead of the more svelt
quarter rack sizing of the Midiverb. The Quadraverb does have a larger
screen but I don't think it's any easier to read for those of us on the
far side of 40. fjm
