Re: [Harp-L] Meteor Amps

When I saw Kim in March with Hummel he was playing his tweed Tremolux with
Hummel's Meteor combo daisy-chained. You never can tell what he'll be using,
he's a worse gearhead than most of us I think. Mark seems to have settled on
the Meteor. You won't believe the sound until you hear it. The whole theater
shook. The 410 has a great sound too, and fills any room it's in, with
remarkable punch and clarity. By clarity I don't mean breakup, because it
breaks up fine, but it sounds good from the low notes all the way to the
highest, with no weakness anywhere. The whole range is it's sweet spot. Like
SJ says, they're both great amps, it comes down to personal taste and the
finer points. I'll bring up another point here. When I saw these two guys
together, same rig, same MIC, guess what?

Kim sounded unmistakeably like KW, intense but light at the same time
compared to Mark.
Mark sounded like Mark Hummel, a velvet SLEDGEHAMMER of tone, fat and
dripping with slime.
