It seemed too obvious. But of course The Other Wayne has a good  point. It's 
not just about "Chicago Blues" either. There's quite a bit of  blues 
derivative stuff going on here too. Blues in  Chicago informs jazz, rock, funk and hip 
hop on a regular and  widespread basis. And if you're a blues purist you can 
get enough of  that in this town to choke a rino. If you're in town next week 
you can  catch Filisko (harp content) playing stellar pre-war/old time blues  
with the incredible Eric Noden on guitar and piano.This is an  outrageous city 
for music, period. Blues, jazz, punk, funk, whatever.  (if you're really lucky 
you can even catch Rosco here from time to time -- more  harp content).
