Er... Been there, done that. Well, not me... but apparently 1,706 other
people did just a little over a month ago. Facts below. [And I'm sure Tim
was speaking in jest and likely digs it bigtime!] ;)

1,700+ harmonica players? Sounds like a world record
SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER STAFF

How many harmonica players does it take to make history?

Andy Mackie of Port Townsend set out to beat the record for the world's
largest harmonica band. Yesterday evening at the Seattle Center's Folklife
Festival he -- and an estimated 1,705 others -- did it.

They shattered the previous record of 851 players by blowing mouth organs
simultaneously for 13 minutes and 22 seconds, Folklife spokesman Liam
O'Mahony said.

Mackie, who lives in the Port Townsend area, provided thousands of harmonicas
for the event, according to his Web site, http://www.andymackie.org
