I rented a DVD from Blockbuster called The Best of MUSIC SCENE 1969-1970 (Vol 2). It contains a
segment where John Sebastian is doing a musical comedy bit with the host David Steinberg.
Steinberg asks Sebastian to play some mellow background music on harmonica while Steinberg
introduces the next guest. Sebastian starts out playing slow and mellow but then gets
increasingly fast and raucous, thereby creating the comedy.
Anyway, at one point Sebastian is playing some pretty fancy quick double stop lines when Steinberg
mentions Bob Dylan. Sebastian says "Oh Dylan" and then plays some very basic block chords before
resuming the intricate stuff. A joke only a harmonica player might understand!
