try one of those Tablemate things they sell in the infomercials.

they are great!

got one on ebay for 15 bucks.

they fold up, lightweght, you can adjust the height and angle, and there is 
room for

a standard harp case, ashtray, drinks, etc...

i've been using one for a few months and i love it.

I use a folding bar stool I picked up at Walmart for about 12 bucks. I've 
two big strips of velcro on the seat, and two big strips of velcro on the 
bottom of a hohner harmonica case. The case stays solidly in place. It's 
cheap, portable, and works very well.
