Re: [Harp-L] Sonny Jr.

Sonny and I have been doing business together for some time now. I know, odd
being so called competitors.
At any rate we've become good friends over the last couple years and I have
to agree, Sonny is a great
standup guy. He's definately earned my respect as a businessman and a
person.

Sonny Jr. Sonny had done some mods to my Fender Bassman Reissue about a year
and a half ago. I think at that time he charged me Approx 300.00
> For that he installed a bias pot swapped tubes and included a # of
different tubes for me to try different configueration and find the one I
liked best he also cleaned my amp and sprayed laquer on the tweed and
included a nice fender cover for the amp. In My opinion it was the best
300.00 I ever spent The Amp never looked or more importantly sounded so
good! Anyway recently during a rehearsal i started having a little trouble
where I was not pushing enough volume and i was screwing with all the tone
settings and volume controls and all i was doing was fighting feedback.
anyway the first thing the next morning when i got to work I e-mailed Sonny
and told him about my Problem. Within 15 minutes he called me on the phone
to discuss the problem and provide me with steps on how to troubleshoot my
problem which we narrowed down to be most probably bad power tubes he
provided me with a new set and i also purchased a
> few different preamp tubes for spares also I purchased a bias meter so I
could check the bias of the tubes myself. He sent me great instructions and
e-mailed me daily to check on my progress. The end result is my amp now
sounds F@&^*G Awesome! Just wanted to let everybody know that dealing with
Sonny has so far been a real pleasure. I will be saving my nickles to get my
hands on a Sonny Junior 410
