RE: [Harp-L] Tabs for Upper End of Harp

I like to use an Adam Gussow (of Satan & Adam) lick that makes a nice jazzy run up to the top of the register. Uses the 6 overblow to create a little chromatic run up the harp. Goes like this:

6b 6d 6ob 7d 8d 8b 9b

And you can extend it to go

6b 6d 6ob 7d 8d 8b 9b 8b 8d 10bb 10d 9b 9d 8b 8d 7d 8d 7d 6d 6b

(b is blow, d is draw, ob is overblow, bb is blow bend)

Nice little chromatic lick there, I think he uses it on "Groovy Groovy People."

Subject: [Harp-L] Tabs for Upper End of Harp

Dear List,

I've been working to improve my ability to transition from the middle
of the harp to the high end (and to play at the high end, 7-10 hole).
Does anyone have some good notated/tabbed runs from the four or five
hole on up? I've found a few in David Barretts books and elsewhere, but
not a great selection.

Thanks,
Grant Kester
