Re: [Harp-L] (no subject)
If you can bend using lip blocking..observe the flow of the air ...ie
pulling down your throat as you drop your tongue on the draw...Then tongue
block and try to draw the air the same way..it does not take tremendous
effort...but a little patience to feel the bend of the air and
note...another trick is to begin drawing while tongue blocking then lean
your head backwards and you will begin to hear the note bend.. and you will
get the feel for it....on the blow repeat the 1st step...try pursing your
lips a little...tilt the back end of the harp up. I try to keep it at 90
degrees to my to ngue (actually both ways). It took me about a week (20
minutes a day) to get a decent bend and the rest o my life to perfect it.
( Be careful not to try this outside in Kazan because your tongue will stick
and have to be sugically removed!)
Good luck,
