The Jimmy Stewart film is Pot O' Gold, and the off screen harmonica
player is Jerry Adler. Jerry coached Jimmy as to how he held the
harmonica in a very convincing way. Also heard but not onscreen is the
Cappy Barra Boys, while the Horace Heidt Orchestra hold the harmonicas
onscreen.
Ocean's Eleven (the original) - harmonica duo is George Fields and Tommy
Morgan (off screen).
The Wild One - the infamous Danny Welton, playing on camera.
Meet Danny Wilson (Frank Sinatra film) - again, Danny Welton, but is
unconvincing as his playing does not match the movements onscreen.
Rear Window (original) - Leo Diamond background music off camera
Elvis Presley's 1968 Comeback Special - Tommy Morgan (off camera)
Coney Island - Leo Diamond, Richard Hayman, Abe Diamond oncamera
Sweet Rosie O'Grady - Leo Diamond, Richard Hayman, Abe Diamond oncamera
and don't forget the many films starring the Borrah Minevitch Harmonica
Rascals:
Always In My Heart, One In A Million, Tramp Tramp Tramp, Rascals, Top
Man, Harmonica School, Hit Parade of 1941, Love Under Fire, etc, etc. -
all oncamera!
Have fun,
Danny
