When you run the installed version it (javaws.exe) first wants to connect to 
127.0.0.1:PORT XXX=various ports. I believe that that is a local host 
loopback connection. Then it tells you that it is checking for the latest 
version (probably a lie) and (javaw.exe) accesses 216.193.202.245 which is 
http://www.lunarpages.com/ I think this is where it checks to see that you 
are paid up. Once you have paid, you can run it without an internet 
connection sometimes, sometimes not. I'm not sure of his rules. You can lock 
down or disconnect from the internet while it's running and it works fine 
except for fetching tab.

It is easy to use, I like it, it helps. But like everyone else, I'd prefer a 
non-java based version that is not internet based in it's compulsive "did 
you pay" checking.
