I have a question for all you Fender Pro-Junior owners out there. I
recently took heed of the many glowing reviews this amp has received and
acquired a used but relatively recent model. Now my question is: how
noisy/quiet should I expect this to be ? I don't mean how loud - it's
plenty loud enough for my needs - but how much background noise should
it be making, or not ? With everything turned down to zero and no input
I still get a very distinct hiss from mine. It's not noisy enough to be
intrusive when I'm playing but distinctly noticeable when I'm not. Is
this common - what are other owners' experiences ? Is it just a facet of
being a valve amp or should I be trying to do something about it ?
By the way, I fully endorse the comments folk have made about this amp.
It's an absolute beauty - lots of volume and killer tone. I love it
already - even with the hiss!
Cheers
Jim
