I'm not sure about that recording, but it could be Captain Beefheart. In the 
past, what I've heard of Beefheart and things in that period was more in 
line with Zappa type music. However, about 6 months ago, a guy at work 
turned me on to the blues side of the Beef. Mainly his Grow Fins album and 
things in that period. I like it. I like that gruff sounding harp playing. 
He definately has a sound of his own on the harp. It turned me into a fan 
though.
