Re: [Harp-L] Harp Tutor Needed for Santa

Late night... belated note! :)

Thanks, guys... and you're welcome! You are apparently right, too, Nate, about it being Blind Owl Wilson, as I found the Canned Heat tune [called "Christmas Blues"] on no less than *8* compilation albums for Christmas songs of the Rock, Blues and R&B genres.

The first one below, Blue Yule, has a pretty cool bunch of obscure tunes in general; quite different from most of the others.

Blue Yule: Christmas Blues and R&B Classics
Billboard Christmas Greatest Hits
Billboard Rock & Roll Christmas
Blues Christmas
20th Century Masters - The Christmas Collection: Blue Christmas
Holiday Legends: Rock and Roll Christmas
13 of the Best: Rockin' Xmas
Southern Rock Christmas

A couple Christmas compilations by Alligator Records also have quite a bit of harp on them by William Clarke, Little Charlie & the Nightcats, Carey Bell, Cephas & Wiggins, etc. Amazon has these as well as Blue Yule.

BTW, Nate... You may end up with a musician when that young dancer grows up. My son's a keyboardist these days, [had over a dozen play dates in November!] But, around age 2, his favorite thing was to dance in front of the TV to Tommy Morgan's theme song for Sanford and Son. Eventually, I just recorded it onto a cassette tape one night so he could play it whenever he liked! And, boy, did he ever!! :) Then... as it turned out, Tommy heard that little anecdote from me the first time I met him, and we've since become good friends! Funny, small ol' world... ;)

Happy New Year, y'all!
Bobbie

Yeah Bill thats Alan Blind Owl, and its a cool card Bobbie!!!! My kids
love it and are familiar with that song as its one I used on my
Christmas blues radio show last week. I was playing the songs around
my house, theres nothing like seeing a one year old [trying] to dance
to the blues, ha ha....priceless!

Nate
