Re: [Harp-L] Shaker/ Blues Junior Feedback problems
The problem with the Jr is it runs too much in the Class B territory and the preamp plate voltages are 250+ volts or even higher and that's not a good idea for a friendly harp amp. And the Shaker is omni-directional and those 3 things together will squeel like a pig, but the mic is the least of the problem. You could try a uni-directional mic like the 545 and maybe change the tubes. I'd sell it and with the money you could get yourself a pretty decent harp amp elsewhere. stevethunderharpmics--- On Sun 12/11, ChipComcast < jandkday@xxxxxxxxxxx > wrote:From: ChipComcast [mailto: jandkday@xxxxxxxxxxx]To: dzeller@xxxxxxxxxxx, beabsurd@xxxxxxxxxxx: Harp-L@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx: Sun, 11 Dec 2005 22:41:41 -0500Subject: Re: [Harp-L] Shaker/ Blues Junior Feedback problemsDon Z.. aka ZIG!!!Dangit! did I say II? That's usually effective, (and backing treble wayoff).Alternately, you could buy Jimmy Day's Sonny Junior I!Zig(Guy sez"Have you worked with a Shaker Dynamic mic? I bought one and have beenexperiencing very stubborn feed-back. I play through a Blues Jr. and cannotfor the life of me find a setting or spacial orientation that alleviates theproblem.")_______________________________________________Harp-L is sponsored by SPAH,
