and the harp.
We love beginners and intermediates. All levels of playing are

several of the best player/teachers on the scene today. We bring in
guitar mules and a local band for our jamming pleasure.

you will gain new skills, attitudes, ideas, motivation, knowledge,
friendship, and harmonica confidence.
From single notes and bends to tongue-blocking and theory to
overcoming stage fright and getting amplified to overblows and
overdraws, Jam Camp is about getting YOU to your next level.

HARMONICA FESTIVAL IN MOKRONOG
January 27, 2006

http://www.jskd.si/english/e_about.htm
and Cultural society Mokronog is preparing 7th HARMONICA FESTIVAL »(ah),
TE ORGLICE.
Last year (2004) , as we had a small jubilee, we prepared a Gala concert
in Slovenian Filharmony.
This year (2005) we prepared it in »Kosovelov dom«, with branch office
in SeZana.
By doing so, we are bringing the instrument back into folk's creativity
and also making it a way
to the concert stages and closer to public.
We are preparing a special cultural experience for the next year (2006).
We are going to pay tribute to genious Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with the
rest of the world.
Gala concert is scheduled for 27 of January 2006, exactly on the day of
250th aniversary of
Mozart's birth, in a great concert hall of »Narodni dom« in Celje.
The concert will be unique as the mouth harmonica will have a main role
among great music masterpieces.
It will bring to life Mozart's masterpieces in duo with harp (string
instrument), in quartet Quartettulipan
(harmonica, flute, cello, piano), together with children's choir Junior
CS from Maribor and Symphony Orchestra
RTV Slovenia, conductor: Marko Muhina.
We will of course do, now already well known festival »(ah), TE
ORGLICE«, which actively reached beyond
borders of Slovenia this year to Croatia (festival in GraCiSCe) and in
Austria (Festival in Clagenfurt).
Festival will take place last Saturday in February (2006) in Mokronog.
All harmonica players are welcome,
Slovenian and others, amateur and professional.

We ARE going to have a harmonica festival in Birmingham, Alabama - 2006!
Over 300 were involved in the original Birmingham Harmonica Festival in
1989.
This to be a great mix of the music of the American South.
We plan to represent all of these harmonica/music styles:
* Classic "Harmonicats" Stylings
The Society Boys Harmonica Trio
Al and Judy Smith - The Hotshots
with Harmonica Junction
Frank Warner, Bud Boblink & Don Klein
* Blue Grass
Buddy Greene of the Gaither Music Reunions
Jerry Ryan of "Three On A String"
Tommy "Toes" Bounds
* Country
Charlie McCoy and his band from Nashville
* Delta Blues
MadCat & Kane
* Other Great Diatonic and Blues
Joe Filisko
Pat Ramsey
Mike Bruce
and Others
* Dixieland "New Orleans Style" Jazz
* Old Time Cajun
Jerry Devillier from Eunice, Louisiana
* Traditional spirituals
We think the "Southern Music" theme will make what
we have planned absolutely distinctive from any past
event associated with SPAH
Someone already stated, "It sounds like you want
religious music." Our response is simple: “No, but it is
very hard to take religion out of a southerner."
If it is part of who the performer "is", it will not be out
of place at this festival.
