RE: [Harp-L] Going to New York...take the A-Train!!!
Now that's what I'm talking about! Thanks for the invite, Rob. I was hoping
I'd get a chance to check out one of your shows while I was out there, but I
checked your site and the dates didn't match up with my trip. Glad to hear
you'll be playing on the 8th. I'll be there unless something real bad
happens to me.
I lived in New York for 8 years and I KNOW the people there are great. And,
hey, I even lived in Jersey for a year...although it was Princeton. When I
moved to Venice, CA after leaving New York, I used to tell my fellow
Californians that New Yorkers were great people - you'll get stabbed in both
New York and LA, but in New York, at least, they'll stab you in the chest
and you'll have a fighting chance...in LA, they stab you in the back.
The 8th sounds perfect for my trip and I promise I won't embarrass you for
inviting me to play some harp, bringing some San Francisco (okay, San
Rafael) Blues to the Big Apple.
