note that only the 2/25/05 philly JR show is a minidisc recording.
i don't know for sure, but i believe larry made that one with just
a simple "T" microphone plugged directly into the recorder.

most of the JR shows on the LMA were taped by dave barfield,
who is a longtime (decades) taper and has a really serious
rig.  he runs excellent (read: expensive) mics into an outboard
A/D converter into dual DAT decks.  if you look at the "Source"
field of the shows, it'll usually specify what equipment was used.
