Rosco can be faster. Levy is definately faster when he wants to be. A fellow named Dave Hytone from MN is much faster, I've heard Ricci tear up several lines that are faster than Popper, I can be faster...
The point is CAN BE. I for one am in the Popper camp and my only negative thought about his playing is that he lacks control. Any of the people mentioned above except for me can play at the sustained velocity. I have Pneumonia and can't hardly play a damn thing these days...

Popper IS all that fast!!
Not that speed matters in and of itself, but I've only heard a few
players who even approach that speed & precission. Are there some players
out there I don't know about?
