Hey stop knocking the Bassman RI.  With a few tweaks it is a very capable
and good sounding amp.  I got a good deal on a used one and I have no
complaints.  I've heard the Sonny Jr. in action and it's an awesome amp but
I have to be sensible about the cost.  Sonny has undeniably put a lot of
time and experience into creating his amp and believe me I want one real
bad.  I just can't afford it.   Kind of like my first junker car.  I really
wanted that Mustang but had to settle for the beat up Volkswagon instead.
It wasn't the top of the line but the VW still got me where I needed to go.
The fact is that unless you gig a lot and get "paid", this is a very steep
investment for most of us "part-time" musicians who still have day jobs.
And don't forget the simple fact that none of the great harp legends (Little
Walter, Sonny Boy, etc.) we all revere and often try to emulate played
through a Sonny, Jr.   It has been said many, many, many, many times on
Harp-L and I'll say it again...you gotta have chops man, you gotta have
chops.

That's my two cents and yes I do plan to one day own a Sonny, Jr.  Just not
today.

reissue?  What mic do you think works best for this amp? Are there any
